For grown-ups & privacy

Squishworks is a family hobby project, not a business: a kid dreamed up and play-tested these games, and a grown-up built and published them. It’s free, with no accounts, ads, chat, purchases or tracking code, and nothing your child makes or saves here is sent anywhere.

Who runs this site

Squishworks at https://drarissa.pages.dev is run by a family as a personal, non-commercial project. Nobody pays for anything, nobody is paid, and there’s nothing to sign up for.

There is no contact form, comment box or chat anywhere on this site, so nothing can be sent to us through it.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, forms, cookies, ads, analytics or tracking code. What your child types, draws, makes or saves in a game is never sent to us or to anyone else, and the pages only ever ask for this site’s own files.

What our web host sees

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare’s servers have to see a visitor’s IP address and which page was asked for in order to send it and to keep the service secure. That is handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). We haven’t turned on Cloudflare’s visitor statistics, and we don’t download or look at visitor logs.

What’s stored in this browser

Nothing is kept until your child opens a game or someone changes a setting. Just looking around stores nothing at all. Everything below stays in this browser, on this device; none of it is sent to us.

A picture your child turns into a squishy stays in this browser until you remove it, and anyone who uses this browser can see it. It is never uploaded.

Saving, honestly

Each game keeps its progress in this browser only, so it’s there next time, on this device, in this browser. Browsers can clear it, though:

On iPhone and iPad, an icon added to the Home Screen keeps its own saves, separate from Safari. If you add one, add it before your child starts, then always play from the icon.

Each game also works offline once it has been played here, until the browser clears site data.

Ask this browser to keep our saves

Browsers can promise not to clear a site’s saves on their own. Some decide for themselves, and some ask you. This only asks; it never stores anything new.

The games

On a shared or classroom device, remove any picture after each session, or switch “Keep pictures after the page closes” off above.

Reset and clear

These two buttons sit behind a small number puzzle for grown-ups. It stops pre-readers from tapping them by accident; it is not a lock, and a child who can read can pass it.

Reset Sky Tower progress

Stages, WINS, completed towers and power-ups go back to the start. The chosen squishy, its colour and the game’s sound levels stay. You can undo this until you close this page. A Sky Tower tab that is already open picks up the change straight away.

Clear everything from this browser

Deletes everything Squishworks keeps in this browser: settings, both games’ progress, any picture, and the offline copies. There is no undo. Other browsers, and a Home Screen icon on iPhone or iPad, keep their own copies.

Accessibility

We want every child to be able to play, and we test with keyboards, screen readers, zoom, touch screens and high-contrast modes. We don’t claim the site fully meets any accessibility standard. What we aim for:

Known gaps, which we’re working on:

Questions about your child’s data

Because the site doesn’t collect or receive anything about you or your child, there is nothing for us to look up, hand over or delete. Everything the games keep is in your own browser, and “Clear everything” above removes it.

Visitors in the UK and EU

We don’t process personal data. The game saves in this browser only exist because your child chose to play, and settings are kept only after someone changes one; “Stop remembering my settings”, right beside the settings, turns that off.
